Australia’s Tallest Water Park Slide Now Open at Wet’n’Wild

Wet’n’Wild has gotten bigger and better with the opening of a new multi-million-dollar precinct including Australia’s tallest water park slide tower and huge splash zone.

The new slide tower is 27 metres tall and features three thrilling slides including the Kaboom!, Double Barrell and Super Ripper and will be surrounded by the H2Oasis splash zone featuring tipping buckets, water jets and more.

Village Roadshow CEO, Clark Kirby said it is exciting time in Wet’n’Wild’s history to open this new precinct which will create joy and memories for our guests.

 “This new attraction is a game-changer for Wet’n’Wild and with the Tallest waterslide tower in Australia featuring three all new rides, there are plenty of new thrills and spills on offer for our guests in time for Summer,” Mr Kirby said.

“In addition to the exciting new slide complex, we also have the H2Oasis splash zone which will be perfect for our families with younger guests, meaning this new precinct will have something on offer for the whole family.

“It is going to be a great Summer for Wet’n’Wild with Dive’n’Movies also returning from the 27th December.”

“The four new waterslides are a terrific addition to Wet’n’Wild with completion perfectly timed to make a splash with Queensland and interstate visitors this summer. Village Roadshow is a good example of tourism operators who have supported construction jobs during the pandemic by finding opportunities to rebuild better with new visitor experiences to accelerate our pandemic recovery.”       

Member for Gaven Meaghan Scanlon said Wet’n’Wild was a Gold Coast tourism icon. “Our world-famous theme parks are part of what makes the Gold Coast Australia’s favourite visitor destination,” Ms Scanlon said.

 “The new visitor experiences at Wet’n’Wild will be on the bucket lists of thousands of interstate holidaymakers about to arrive on the Gold Coast. New theme park attractions are big vote of confidence in Gold Coast tourism’s economic recovery.”      

Gold Coast Deputy Mayor, Donna Gates said she applauds Village Roadshow for its incredible investment in the city and its future.

“This new attraction adds to the recent multi-million-dollar investments at Sea World and sends the message that we are constantly renewing our tourism attractions to ensure the coast remains Australia’s No 1 holiday playground,” Cr Gates said.

New Attractions:

  • The KABOOM! Is the first Master Blaster and Tailspin slide in the Southern Hemisphere and guests will experience a 10-metre drop before experiencing 360-degree spins & zero gravity for the ultimate stomach-flipping ride
  • The DOUBLE BARREL is a heart-pounding slide which is set to become a crowd favourite
  • The SUPER RIPPER are two new 12-metre high body slides that are not for the faint hearted
  • The H2OASIS is a tropical splash zone spanning across 870m2 and will be a haven for the whole family
