The 3rd Red Ball Raises Crucial Funds for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation at The Langham Gold Coast
The Langham Hotel on the Gold Coast glowed red with purpose on Saturday night, 6 September 2025, as guests gathered for the 3rd Red Ball — an unforgettable evening Hosted by Emily Jade O’Keeffe from Hot Tomato, is dedicated to supporting the Daniel Morcombe Foundation and its vital mission to keep kids safe. The night paid heartfelt tribute to Daniel Morcombe, whose tragic loss in 2003 deeply impacted Australia and inspired his parents, Bruce and Denise Morcombe, to devote their lives to protecting children from harm. Their tireless advocacy and education programs continue to create a safer future for generations to come, and the Red Ball stood as a powerful reminder of their legacy of hope and action.
The glamorous black-tie gala featured a decadent three-course dinner, premium beverages, and an electric line-up of live entertainment, setting the tone for an evening of generosity and solidarity. Guests bid passionately on exclusive live and silent auction items, with every dollar raised going directly to the Foundation’s education programs, safety resources, and initiatives that empower communities to protect children. The event was made possible through the outstanding support of Total Property Group and Adrian and Karen Parsons, whose commitment to the Foundation’s work was evident in every detail of the evening.
Momentum for child safety reform was further underscored by news that Queensland lawmakers are set to pass a public sex offenders register, a landmark initiative first promised by now-Premier David Crisafulli at the 2nd Red Ball. This long-awaited measure represents a significant step in protecting children and empowering families, reinforcing the very mission at the heart of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation’s work. For Bruce and Denise Morcombe, this progress is a testament to years of advocacy and the unwavering support of the community.
As the final auction paddle was raised and the dance floor filled, the 3rd Red Ball left an indelible mark — not only as a dazzling night of fine dining and entertainment, but as a rallying cry for child safety. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and sponsors, the Daniel Morcombe Foundation will continue its mission to educate, advocate, and protect, ensuring Daniel’s legacy lives on through safer, stronger communities.
