The Red Ball unites the Gold Coast community in support of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation and its mission to keep kids safe

The 3rd Annual Red Ball was held on 6 September 2025 at The Langham Gold Coast, bringing together the community for an evening where glamour met generosity. While the night sparkled with red-carpet style, its true purpose was to raise awareness and vital support for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation and its mission to keep kids safe.

Central to that mission is the progress of Daniel’s Law, a public child sex offender register championed by Bruce and Denise Morcombe. At last year’s Red Ball, now-Premier David Crisafulli pledged that if elected, his Government would deliver this critical reform. Earlier this year, that promise took a major step forward when the Bill for Daniel’s Law was introduced to Queensland Parliament. It will now be reviewed by a Parliamentary Committee before returning to Parliament, with the Government committing to have the law in place before the end of 2025.

The introduction of Daniel’s Law marks the culmination of years of dedicated advocacy by Bruce and Denise Morcombe for stronger child protection measures, ensuring Daniel’s legacy continues to drive meaningful change.

Hosted by TOTAL Property Group, the Red Ball highlights the power of the community to come together for lasting impact. Guests enjoyed an evening of entertainment and celebration, but above all, their presence contributed directly to the Foundation’s essential work.
