Cooly Rocks On 2013 - Gold Coast & Tweed Coast

Take 1200 custom and classic cars plus hot rods , add more than 50 rock’n’roll bands, a star-studded line-up of international artists and a crowd of about 80,000 fans from around Australia and across the world. Mix it up in one of Australia’s most colourful, vibrant and beautiful beachside destinations and it’s COOLY ROCKS ON.
COOLY ROCKS ON 2013, Australia’s biggest and brightest ‘50s and ‘60s nostalgia festival, starts today. The border towns will be glistening with chrome, bursting with international visitors and fuelled by a full on party atmosphere for 10 exciting days. This jumping, jiving, revving rollercoaster of music, dancing, cars and fun hits the streets of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads from Friday May 31 to Monday June 10.

Sophie Monk is back in town for a quick visit and her first stop was to collect her new BMW from Bruce Lynton BMW. On the Coast for a week or two Sophie will be doing it in style thanks to Beric and the team.
While waiting for her new car Sophie was snapped with her manager Alex Reid enjoying Ocean Road Magazine and considering the wonderful Lisa Brown dress that Jesinta Campbell was wearing on the cover for the Melbourne Cup. I understand that Sophie went straight to Element at Marina Mirage to see if it was available !!!!!
Get revved with the Queensland Pontiac and Cadillac Car Clubs at Sanctuary Cove

Calling all car buffs! On Sunday, 26th August The Marine Village at Sanctuary Cove will host a visit by the Queensland Pontiac and Cadillac Car Clubs. Club members will display a range of stunning vintage cars, from Pontiac’s sporty 1970’s Trans Ams to stylish 1960’s Cadillac DeVilles. The cars will be on display between 10.00am and 2.00pm in the Village Piazza and near the Village Green, backed by the picturesque Marina. This event is free and no bookings are required.
