MBD SPICES UP OFFERING AT CAPRI ON VIA ROMA

The ‘big cheeses’ of Gold Coast delicatessen operators, the Manolas brothers, have spiced up the food offering at Capri on Via Roma.

Con and Steve Manolas, owners of MBD at Broadbeach, have secured a 12-year lease in a 193sqm space at Capri on Via Roma, a fresh food market precinct taking shape on the Isle of Capri.

Their new MBD outlet will take a prime position at the entry to the new fully air conditioned fresh food market which has secured a broad range of specialist tenants, boosting occupancy to 85 per cent.

DESTINATION TWEED LAUNCHES  INNOVATIVE ‘TWEED FRESH’ PROJECT

A comprehensive initiative designed to forge paddock-to-plate networks and facilitate new growth opportunities for the Tweed’s food industries was launched today [Wednesday, August 1] at Tyalgum.

Funded by the Shire’s business marketing body Destination Tweed and coordinated by the Caldera Institute, the ‘Tweed Fresh’ project represents a collaboration between local farmers, producers, chefs and consumers.
