COOLY ROCKS OFFICIAL AMBASSADORS FOR 2012 - FRANKIE J HOLDEN & WILBUR WILDE
Thursday, 5 April, 2012 - by Brian Usher Music

Iconic Aussie rockers Frankie J Holden and Wilbur Wilde will be ‘on the prowl’ at COOLY ROCKS ON this year in their official role as dual Ambassadors of Coolangatta and Tweed’s annual retro rock’n’roll festival.
The duo promise to take to the streets and meet their fans during COOLY ROCKS ON and say they’ll “create rock’n’roll mayhem” at various venues during the event.
After traversing the entire spectrum of show business – film, stage, theatre, radio and television - Frankie says he and Wilbur are back where it all began: performing together on stage.
“Despite all of our combined experience in other areas of show biz, there is no doubt that playing live rock’n’roll with a hot band and a pumped audience is still the biggest buzz you can have,” says Frankie.
At their concerts, Frankie and Wilbur will wind back the clock to the days of their multi-platinum band, OL’55, which ruled Australian airwaves for more than a decade. Songs such as Looking for an Echo, Diana, The Wanderer, Get a Job, This Little Girl, Twistin’ the Night Away and On the Prowl are all on the list, they said.
Frankie and Wilbur will perform their ‘On the Prowl’ concert at Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club on Saturday 9 June.
Frankie will headline in The JO’K Celebration Concert on Friday 8 June, also at Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club. They will both participate in the street parade on Saturday 9 June in Coolangatta and emcee a number of events on the outdoor stages. They will also be appearing as part of the ‘Best of Cooly Rocks On’ on Monday 11 June.
Frankie says they are both really looking forward to the opportunity to bring some great music to COOLY ROCKS ON.
